Learn how to better use modern AI tools and take advantage of this new technology and the opportunities it offers to improve qualitative decision making. You will get access to the videos during 12 months.

There is little doubt that ChatGPT has taken the world by storm. We suddenly have an AI model we can communicate with using normal language, that holds a vast amount of information and will no doubt fundamentally change the way we seek information and the way we communicate.

The ability to effectively communicate with Large Language Models is fast becoming the single most important skill to have, and there is little doubt it is already starting to distinguish between winners and losers in the workplace. The danger of losing out to AI is real. But if we use it correctly, it can in fact help us become better at thinking and to make better decisions.

This course is intended for all those who want to explore and take advantage of this new technology and the opportunities it offers to improve qualitative decision making.

In the course you will learn how to do this, through effective prompting based on the fundamentals of the Theory of Constraints Thinking Processes. The course covers the basics of qualitative logical analysis and decision making and the fundamentals of prompting AI for valid responses on logic. You will go through a range of practical examples and hands-on assignments. When you finish, you should have a good understanding of how to take advantage of AI to enter a virtuous cycle of augmenting your own ability to make better decisions and solve problems faster and more effectively.

An example: a hospital with declining profits

Thorsteinn takes this example from his book "From symptoms to causes" to explain how the logical thinking process tools (the Current Reality Tree here) can be combined with the use of ChatGPT to solve a problem.

Extract from the course

Using AI effectively to scrutinize logic and to cope with biases

All of our decisions are based on two types of information: explicit information (highly available) and tacit information (hardly available). Decision-making and analysis also rely on logic. Thorsteinn explains how we can use AI to support us in this regard.
